Pottery Painting
Painting pottery is easy at The Magic Paintbrush.
Pick a piece of bisque - we have lots to choose from!
Plan your design - we have stencils, stamps and books to help you!
Pick your colors - we have dozens of non-toxic colors to make your piece exactly what you want!
Paint your piece - take all the time you want. Feel free to bring snacks or drinks if you wish. Relax and have fun!
Fire it up - leave your piece with us for about a week, and we will fire it and you can pick it up.
Glass Fusing Made Simple
Glass fusing follows a simple step-by-step process.
Chose a size, shape and color for your base. Also decide if you would like to have your glass piece slumped into a shape like a bowl, plate, or votive.
Pick your decorating glass colors. Shapes can be cut with tools or you can use pre-cut chips, strips, rods, noodles(thin strips), or frit (powdery glass).
Create your design! Stack your glass pieces in layers or mosaic style. Attach it to the base with a little glue.
Your glass will go into the kiln to be flattened or fused. If you desire to slump your glass into a shape, it will go through the kiln a second time. Please see staff to inquire about glass turn-around time.
Mosaics That You Take Home The Same Day.
Select a surface. We have plaques, frames, clocks, mirrors and trivets in many styles.
Choose from a selection of glass pieces, tiles, gems and many others. These pieces are then glued to your surface leaving a small space in between for grouting.
After the glue has been allowed to dry for 24 hours, you have a completely functional piece. However, the cost of the piece includes a grout kit for you to take home if you prefer that look.
Mix your grout. Just add a little water until the grout is an oatmeal-like consistency. Working in small sections, work grout into crevices on your piece making sure to get the sides. After allowing the piece to dry for a few minutes, take a dampened sponge and wipe off the piece. Let it dry and enjoy!
